MDL/G's toolkit is a C-language function library for building metafile-generating applications. It is a complete implementation of the CGMStandard, including all three standard encodings (binary, character, andclear text), and all CGM elements. MDL/G supports the generation of CALS-compliant (MIL-D-28) metafiles.With MDL/G, experts with particular requirements can directly controlelements by element metafile generation. The toolkit also has an "easymode" of operation, which completely hides the tedious rules of the CGMsyntax and structure from the application developer. MDL/G is accompaniedby complete user and programmer documentation, including "good practice"guides to assist in application development. Consulting and designsupport is available as well.
